Gelogum:
This is one of the top and broadest
application areas of our Carboxymethylcellulose. The main function of Gelogum is to
prevent the redeposition of dirt that otherwise, gathering on certain points due to an
electrostatic effect, it would produce stains therefore partly nullifying the effect of
detergents. In fact, Gelogums act as protecting colloids and as such their presence is
essential and vital.
Recommended products:
Gelogum DL60, Gelogum DL70
Sapoil:
They are liquid soaps made of coconut
oil and oleic acid suitable for the formulation of household and industrial detergents.
Recommended products:
Sapoil C40, Sapoil OP
Carbofix:
Carboxymethylcellulose (Carbofix) is used in the manufacturing of ceramics as
a special binder for glazes and engobes.
In fact, the use of Carbofix consents to:
control the viscosity of glazes;
enhance the adherence of the glazes layer;
improve the binding of glaze to its support.
Low viscosity types are recommended
for glazes, whereas high viscosity types are preferable for sanitary glazes. Both types
are pure.
In applications with glazes, they bring about an improvement of stability and
homogeneity, as well as resistance to pressure, elasticity and adhesion to backing are
increased, resulting in a considerable reduction of rejects due to breaking.
In addition, the use of CMC has made it possible to eliminate shortcomings
arising during the baking of ceramics, such as, for instance, colour variations, swelling
and blisters. In fact, CMC affords excellent binding properties and burns completely
leaving no residues.
Resamin L:
RESAMIN L are anionic products made by synthetic means starting from
polysaccharides. They are available in water solution and they have been specifically
formulated for the ceramic industry, where they are used as additives for glazes; they
could also be added on line without changing the viscosity of glazes.
Recommended products:
Resamin L, Resamin L1,
Resamin L2.
Resinol:
RESINOL is a class of synthetic polymers in water solution used in the
ceramic industry as binders and tying agents for glazes.
Recommended products:
Resinol 12, Resinol 14.
Carbofix:
Carboxymethylcellulose is used as an additive in the
formulation of drilling muds. It has the function of reducing the amount of free water,
enhancing the properties of the mud, providing an excellent thermal stability as well as a
good stability to fermentation. For this application, there are available technical and
pure grades.
Our CMCs are sold with the trademark Carbofix and conform to
international standards in this area.
Recommended products:
Carbofix CS50P, Carbofix
RCT25,
Carbofix 02, Carbofix 25P
Mud Detergent:
Anionic-non ionic detergent specifically designed for drilling muds in water
phase, displaying pronounced saturating properties.
They have a high degree of emulsifying properties both in fresh and salt water; foam
formation is marginal.
Mud Surfactant:
This class of products is made up by a mixture of primary non-ionic
surfactants; it has a high solubility in water and a good thermal stability. It affords a
controlled flocculation of clay in the dispersion.
Mud Emulsifier:
Non-ionic emulsifier that belongs
to the class of alkyl phenols polyglyco-ethers. This product is water soluble and displays
a good thermal stability. It is not soluble in oils.
Defoamer:
This product is made up by an emulsion of a surfactant and a liquid silicon
with defoaming properties. It is liquid, it has a milky appearance, it is homogeneous and
stable.
Foaming agent:
Liquid, anionic surfactant. It affords concentrated and stable foams.
Lubricants:
Self-emulsifying oil for water based drilling muds. It displays enhanced
adhesion properties to metal surfaces.
Carbofix:
The use of CMC in mixtures of
powder to be extruded for producing pellets of animal feeds, affords excellent binding
properties, favouring the processing of mixes.
Recommended products:
Carbofix CS62, Carbofix DL60
Carbofix:
Carbofix is used as an activator
of bentonite with the objective of improving the suspending properties and providing
viscosity to the final fluid.
Furthermore, Carbofix is preferable to natural starch and other organic
colloids due to its particularly good resistance to hydrolysis and fermentation.
Recommended products:
Carbofix AS3GK
Carbofix:
CMC is a binder particularly resistant
to fermentation and to all kind of bacteria. It is used as a glue in upright applications
such as wallpaper and billboards.
It is also used as a thickener and stabilizer for other types of glues.
By the addition of convenient catalysts, CMC becomes a colourless and
odourless gel suitable for various applications.
Recommended products:
Carbofix CS6GP, Carbofix SCT55
Geller:
The Gellers are a line of our products
displaying peculiar thickening and gelling properties. In particular, Gellers afford the
formation of colourless and odourless gels, suitable as a support for several applications
(deodorants, disinfectants, etc.).
Carbofix:
CMC is used as a glue in the
manufacturing cardboard containers for food or for children applications.
Recommended products:
Carbofix CS6GP, Carbofix SCT 55.
Carbofix:
The paint industry uses CMC to
stabilize as well as to modify the viscosity of paints and emulsions, with the result of
affording improved application characteristics of the product as well as of favouring the
adhesion of paints to their substrates.
When used as a viscosity modifier, CMC improves viscosity and makes it
consistent in paints based in acrylic resins, polyvinyl acetate, or styrene-butadiene
latices.
Always, the use of CMC favours the suspension of pigments as well as the
homogeneity of the final solution.
Recommended products:
Carbofix 25P, Carbofix LM3.
Carbofix:
CMC is used by manufacturers of
coloured leads for pencils, crayons and coloured chalks as a binder for pigments and
plastic clays.
Recommended products:
Carbofix PGP, Carbofix LM3, Carbofix AS15.
Carbofix:
The Carbofixs are excellent
binders in bulk mixture for refractories affording better working properties. In addition,
after baking of the product, CMC is lost completely leaving no residues.

Carbofix 02L (Liquid Binder)
Abrasives and Grindstones |
Carbofix:
Likewise
for the refractories, the use of CMC in the production of abrasive materials improves the
workability of the bulk mixtures by binding the dust particles.

Carbofix 02L (Liquid Binder)
Carbofix:
Due to its binding properties, CMC is
used to glue together the blend of powders to their support.
Once the electrode has been baked, the bulk of the active ingredient is devoid of foreign
substances and therefore the welding process remains unmodified.
