Carbofix
The knowledge of Carboxymethylcellulose and its many applications have enabled our company to extend contacts also in chemicals applied in agriculture field. Interesting innovations have recently been patented.
Our effort in research and innovation, that has always identified the company’s activity, has, over time, to tighten relationships even with public research institutions, specifically directed towards an eco-friendly and sustainable chemistry, with the aim to improving techniques and auxiliaries in this field.
Recommended products: natural hydro-compacting mulches “BIOPAC”® line, Carboxymethylcellulose, Polyvinyl Alcohol, wetting agents, emulsifiers, surfactants, amino acids and additives for animal feed.
Pellets production:
the addition of specific starches in the wood mass for the stoves pellet, as well as provide a pleasing whitening effect of the product, allows to use a lower pressure for the cylinder formation. Instead, the addition of Carboxymethylcellulose in the wood mass produce a more resistant pellets, especially in cases of mixture between coniferous and deciduous trees.
Recommended product: Carbofix 200 RP, Amido modificato.
Pets litters:
Carboxymethylcellulose is an indispensable ingredient for eco-friendly litter.
Allows to aggregate the litter biodegradable components in a natural way, allowing an easy disposal.
The finished product, in contact with liquids, will swell and absorb them.
Recommended product: Carbofix 200 RP, Carbofix 500 R
Animal Feeds
The use of CMC in mixtures of powder to be extruded for producing pellets of animal feeds, affords excellent binding properties, favouring the processing of mixes.
Anticrytogamics
Carbofix is utilized in wetable powders as a thickener and stabilizer of the blend, as well as to extend the active ingredient’s action after the application to plants.
Recommended products:
- Carbofix AS3GK
- Carbofix AS1GK
AcquaDROP
Water retentive for soil and cultivation substrates
AcquaDROP is a powder product with water retentive properties. In agriculture and nursery when incorporated into a soil or substrate, it absorbs and retains large quantities of water and nutrients.
AcquaDROP has the ability to easily release absorbed water and nutrients, thus allowing the plant to dispose of them easily.
- Increases the ability to retain water in the soil.
- Improve plant growth. Water and nutrients are available in root zone for optimal absorption by plants.
- Provides a buffering effect against the dangers of soil drought.
- Suitable for many applications in agriculture and landscaping: transplanting and laying trees, nurseries, planting of lawns and rolled lawns, large-scale agriculture.
Composition
AcquaDROP is a super absorbent anionic polymer, insoluble in water.
How AcquaDROP Works
AcquaDROP has the ability to absorb water up to two hundred times its weight.
With water contact, the polymer network of which it is made expands thanks to an osmosis process and stores the liquid in its structure.
In the soil, AcquaDROP swells in damp conditions and gradually releases the liquid in dry conditions.
This liquid absorption / desorption cycle improves the availability of water at the roots and counteracts water stress.
How to incorporate AcquaDROP to the cultivation substrate
Laying or transplanting of trees
Pre-hydrated AcquaDROP must be added directly to the soil, before laying the plant.
To pre-hydrate AcquaDROP, simply pour the desired amount of product into a container with water.
Preparation of substrates for nursery or landscaping
AcquaDROP (dry or pre-hydrated) must be added directly during the preparation phase of the cultivation substrate, whether the operation is done manually by digging, or whether the mix is mechanically prepared with an agricultural mixer.
This substrate enriched with AcquaDROP can be used for repotting plants in nurseries or for laying lawns, especially recommended for cultivars subject to water stress.
Large-scale agriculture
AcquaDROP is inserted into the furrow together with the seeds, using a pneumatic microgranular spreader.
Whatever the method of incorporation, the product must be correctly incorporated into the ground, to be protected from UV radiation which can slow down its retentive properties.
Forestation
AcquaDROP is effective in laying young trees, its use makes possible to reduce the mortality rate due to transplant shock, improve root development and therefore determine faster growth.
Used for forestation of isolated areas that are difficult to reach for care and maintenance, it facilitates plant growth by storing rainwater at the root level.
Nursery and horticulture
Mixed in a substrate AcquaDROP allows an efficient use of water and nutrients not immediately consumed by the plant which, thanks to the strong absorbency, are concentrated in the product.
Cuttings and transplants take root better, seedlings grow faster and root systems develop homogeneously.
AcquaDROP proves a valid help against the problems of water stress and nutritional deficiencies due to washout.
It is ideal for preparing substrates for container productions, fruit and vegetables and houseplants where irrigation frequencies are generally reduced by 30% to 50%, thanks to reduced evaporation
Furthermore, during the transport of the plants, AcquaDROP maintains sufficient humidity in the substrate reducing water stress.
AcquaDROP: chemical-physical properties
Absorption capacity
The water-holding capacity of AcquaDROP strongly depends on the concentration of electrolytes in the water.
The absorption capacity of AcquaDROP in substrates varies between 100-200 times its weight.
Soil dried value
AcquaDROP allows to increase the water holding capacity of the soil and to delay the considered drought threshold.
A sandy soil treated with 3 grams of AcquaDROP / kg of soil retains water twice as long as the same untreated soil.
- Temperature: 22°C
- Relative humidity: 50%
- Initial substrate weight: 2 kg
- Water added to the substrate: 1 liter
Florgem – potassium soap
It’s a useful corroborants for strengthening the natural plants defenses.
It’s used in conventional agriculture and organic one as specified by EU Reg. No. 354/2014 Annex.
The product is obtained from potash and vegetable oils, biodegradable, water-soluble and phytotoxicity-free.
It’s used as a protective against some sucking insects, FLORGEM greatly contributes to the melting of the honeydew, in addition to all the other various pathological coatings from the development of fungi that feed on decaying organic materials.
FLORGEM is also able to facilitate the removal of the eggs of many insects, reducing the humidity necessary for the appearance of algae and fungi.
