Carbofix®
Carboxymethylcellulose is used as an additive in the formulation of drilling muds. It has the function of reducing the amount of free water, enhancing the properties of the mud, providing an excellent thermal stability as well as a good stability to fermentation. For this application, there are available technical and pure grades.
Our CMC’s are sold with the trademark Carbofix and conform to international standards in this area.

Mud Detergent
Anionic-non ionic detergent specifically designed for drilling muds in water phase, displaying pronounced saturating properties.
They have a high degree of emulsifying properties both in fresh and salt water; foam formation is marginal.
Mud Surfactant
This class of products is made up by a mixture of primary non-ionic surfactants; it has a high solubility in water and a good thermal stability. It affords a controlled flocculation of clay in the dispersion.
Mud Emulsifier
Non-ionic emulsifier that belongs to the class of alkyl phenols polyglyco-ethers. This product is water soluble and displays a good thermal stability. It is not soluble in oils.
Defoamer
This product is made up by an emulsion of a surfactant and a liquid silicon with defoaming properties. It is liquid, it has a milky appearance, it is homogeneous and stable.
Foaming Agent
Liquid, anionic surfactant. It affords concentrated and stable foams.
Lubricants
Self-emulsifying oil for water based drilling muds. It displays enhanced adhesion properties to metal surfaces.
